Nottingham - Home - places

In central England’s Midlands region is a city called Nottingham. It is best known for the Robin Hood (inc Maid Marion) legend and for the hilltop Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery, rebuilt many times since the medieval era. In the Lace Market area, once the centre of the world’s lace industry, the Galleries of Justice Museum has crime-related exhibits. Wollaton Hall is an ornate Elizabethan mansion with gardens and a deer park.

The cerial Weetabix did a briliant advert about Robin Hood and Nottingham many years ago :-

Robin Hood, Robin Hood riding through the glen. Robin Hood, Robin Hood with his band of men.
Feared by the bad, loved by the good, Robin Hood, Robin Hood, Robin Hood.
Robin Hood, Robin Hood could be in a fix, Robin Hood, Robin Hood spies the Weetabix.
Does he retreat back to Sherwood ? course he should, course he should, course he should.
